Juniper Networks - 5X Series
Juniper Networks - 5XT and Juniper Networks - 5XP offer enterprise-class solutions using the same firewall, VPN, and traffic management technology as Juniper Networks 's high-end products. The Juniper Networks - 5XT and Juniper Networks - 5XP products are fully capable of securing a small or remote office, a retail outlet, or a broadband telecommuter. Both the Juniper Networks - 5XT and Juniper Networks - 5XP provide 10 VPN tunnels and are offered in two versions, a 10-user version and an unlimited Elite version.
The Juniper Networks - 5XP provides two ports, 20Mbps firewall and 13Mbps 3DES VPN performance, traffic management, and an easy to configure WebUI with solid hardware reliability.
The Juniper Networks - 5XT provides a 4-port switch, dial backup with a Track IP failover feature, dual 'untrust' configuration, dynamic routing support, work & home trusted zones, plus with extra memory you get 70Mbps firewall and 20Mbps 3DES VPN performance

Juniper Networks - 5GT Series
The Juniper Networks - 5GT is a high performance network security appliance targeted to remote offices in distributed networks, including small offices, retail outlets, and telecommuters. The Juniper Networks - 5GT will also offer an upgrade to support embedded Anti-Virus (AV) using Trend Micro's industry-leading AV technology. Available in two configurations, the Juniper Networks - 5GT combines firewall, VPN, DoS protection and traffic management into a single device. The AV upgrade will be available in the second half of 2003 for an additional cost on both versions.
Juniper Networks - 5GT provides 75Mbps firewall and 20Mbps 3DES VPN performance, up to 2,000 concurrent sessions, 10 IPSec VPN tunnels and supports 10 users. The unit features five 10/100 Ethernet ports (four Trusted and one Untrusted), plus a console port and RIPv2 routing support.
Juniper Networks - 5GT Plus provides the same firewall and VPN performance statistics for an unlimited number of users. Plus the Juniper Networks - 5GT Plus provides Dial-up back-up support with a modem port, Dual Untrust redundant connections, and additional routing support with OSPF and BGP.
Juniper Networks - 5GT units can be upgraded to the Plus version by purchasing a license key. The AV option will scan mail (SMTP, POP3, Webmail) and web traffic (HTTP) as it passes through the Juniper Networks - 5GT on a per policy basis to drop infected files and notify send and receiver.

Juniper Networks - 200 Series
The Juniper Networks - 200 Series includes two products, the Juniper Networks - 204 and the Juniper Networks - 208, differentiated by the number of auto-speed-sensing, auto-polarity-correcting 10/100 Base-T Ethernet ports (four and eight respectively). Together, they are two of the most versatile security appliances available today, easily integrating into many different environments, including medium and large enterprise offices, e-business sites, data centers, and carrier infrastructures.
The Juniper Networks - 200 series handles computationally intense applications, such as 3DES and AES encryption, at speeds greater than 200 Mbps. Both products provide active/active full mesh high availability configurations, 128,000 concurrent sessions, 32 VLANs, 18 security zones, traffic management, 1,000 dedicated VPN tunnels, and optional 32 VLANs, 18 Security zones, and 5 virtual Routers.

Juniper Networks - 500
The Juniper Networks - 500 Security System integrates firewall, VPN, and traffic management functionality in a low profile, modular chassis. The Juniper Networks - 500 is capable of up to 700 Mbps firewall throughput, 250 Mbps 3DES VPN throughput, and supports 10,000 IPSec tunnels and up to 250,000 concurrent sessions. The Juniper Networks - 500 is built around Juniper Networks 's custom, purpose-built GigaScreen ASIC, which provides accelerated encryption algorithms and policy look-ups. In addition, there are two high-speed busses to off-load management traffic from application traffic processing. This prevents High Availability and other management traffic from impacting throughput performance.

The Juniper Networks - 5000 Series of purpose-built, high-performance security systems, including the 2-slot Juniper Networks - 5200 and 4 slot Juniper Networks - 5400, delivers a new level of high-performance capabilities for large enterprise, carrier, and data center networks.
Juniper Networks 's third-generation security ASIC, the GigaScreen-II, is capable of independent operation and can provide advanced functionality at gigabit throughput rates as a full packet-processing engine, including packet parsing, classification, encryption, decryption, NAT and session matching. Combined with its ability to directly connect internally to switch fabrics, the GigaScreen-II delivers a truly scalable security solution in Juniper Networks - 5000 systems.
Each secure port module is built around one or more GigaScreen-II ASICs and provides the core stateful inspection and IPSec VPN capabilities for traffic through any of its network interfaces. Individual ports may also be combined into trunk groups using link aggregation to deliver multi gigabit connections to adjacent network elements. A variety of configurations are available for various combinations of 10/100 Mbps and gigabit Ethernet (GigE) interfaces and security processing capacity. Juniper Networks - Remote
Juniper Networks - Remote VPN Client enables client-initiated VPN communication. The VPN client is ideal for "road warriors" needing to securely access private networks across the public Internet as well as end-users within an enterprise environment that require secure connections across wireless networks or between departmental networks. Based on SafeNet's industry-leading VPN software, it runs on an end-user's Windows-based computer and facilitates secure remote access to remote networks, devices, or other hosts. Security is achieved by using the IPSec protocol and/or Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP), with certificates or smart cards as an optional form of authentication.
Juniper Networks - Remote Security Client includes all the features of Juniper Networks - Remote VPN, with the addition of an integrated personal firewall to provide additional security for mobile users. The Juniper Networks - Remote Security Client, which incorporates Sygate Technologies award-winning personal firewall software, performs traditional stateful-inspection on TCP/IP packets, virtually eliminating the possibility of hijacked or unwanted connections. Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection is performed on each interface, blocking known attacks. Finally, application control limits network-access to trusted applications, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer. Applications attempting to access the network must first be approved by the administrator or end-user. Any unapproved applications will be blocked, helping to stop Trojan applications.
Automated VPN Policy Updates. Both Juniper Networks - Remote VPN Client and Juniper Networks - Remote Security Client provide a mechanism for secure, automated VPN policy retrieval from the Juniper Networks - Global PRO line of security management systems, supporting thousands of users. VPN policies for mobile users are centrally defined within Juniper Networks - Global PRO and propagated to Juniper Networks - Remote client users after successful authentication. Users may authenticate directly to Juniper Networks - Global PRO or via NT domain or Active Directory through Juniper Networks - Global PRO's RADIUS interface. User authentication occurs over SSL prior to retrieving the VPN policies, ensuring only valid users can retrieve their VPN policies. Since VPN policies are linked to users as opposed to machines, users can move between multiple PCs running Juniper Networks - Remote clients and receive their VPN policy. As an added security measure, when the user logs out of the VPN, all of their confidential VPN policies and keys may be optionally cleared, resulting in a more secure, more controllable remote access solution.
